Hotels in Kishangarh
Phool Mahal
Constructed
in 1872 by Maharaja Prithvi Singh of Kishangarh, this lovely palace was
built on a garden, very popularly shown in several Miniature paintings of
the famous Kishangarh School.
The majestic Fort of Kishangarh with a moat surrounding forms its backdrop
and the Gundalao lake with its myriad bird life, its front.
Now restored and converted into a hotel by the present Maharaja, it is an
ideal stop over in the centre of Rajasthan. Kishangarh is world famous for
its early 18th century school of Miniature Paintings. Even now, several
thousand artists paint on various surfaces in this style and can be
viewed. Kishangarh also is the largest centre for marble and granite
cutting and polishing in the country.
