Heritage Hotel in Kota Brijraj Bhawan Palace Brijraj Bhawan Palace Hotel is a Heritage Hotel. It
is also the residence of Maharao Brijraj Singh of Kotah and his family. It
was built in 1830 A.D. as the British Residency and later became the State
guest house of Kotah in 1900 A.D. Many VVIPs from viceroys, Kings and
Queens to Maharaja's and Prime Ministers have stayed here. Lord Curzon
visited in 1903. Queen Mary of England stayed here on her visit to 1911.
Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi came in 1971.
This colonial style building is situated on the right bank of the river Chambal and commands a magnificent view. Its spacious rooms are graced with elegant period furniture. The drawing and dining rooms are very eye catching, with many personal affects of the royal family. All bedrooms are air-conditioned with attached modern bathrooms, and are equipped with colour TV and telephone with national and international access. Most rooms have a pleasing river view.
